Metalhead is a tough and determined competitor in the First Rodeo Racing barn. Bred by Machmer Hall, Carrie Brogden & Craig Brogden, Metalhead is by the classic-distance stallion Tonalist, out of Danzig Girl, a daughter of Hard Spun—bringing together a powerful pedigree of stamina and grit.

Claimed by FRR on March 19, 2025, for $15,000, Metalhead has shown versatility across surfaces but has especially delivered sharp performances on dirt, including a strong maiden win at the Horseshoe Track in Indiana. He’s proven to be a consistent competitor with multiple runner-up finishes and game efforts at the claiming level.
